Our family has been using the services of John Ryan at Living Home Windsor for the past year now. My father is 89 years old and frankly my sister who resides in California and I (living in Florida) have no idea what our lives would be like if we didn't have this company to help us. My father is healthy but as stubborn as they come and refuses to even consider looking at assisted living facilities or any alternative to living in his home. Even though he is healthy he has the memory problems and occasional medical mishaps that come with age. That's where John comes in. Not only does he provide my dad with safe, reliable and friendly transportation to and from his Dr and therapy appointments but he comes on a Saturday morning and takes him grocery shopping or really anything my dad wants or needs to do. Elderly people thrive on schedules and my dad has always shopped Saturdays and now he still can. Just recently my Dad had a birthday and my sister and i didn't want to just deliver a meal to my dad but wanted him to go out for lunch. John more than happily accommodated our wish. He went so far beyond what would be considered great service. I actually have a video of him delivering a birthday cake to my Dad that his young daughter had made for the occasion.!! As they say some things you just can't buy. Fortunately we can buy Johns reasonably priced service but the extra care and compassion he has shown my father exceeds anything money can buy. He constantly comes up with new ways to improve how he does business and the 'stay in touch" factor complete with instant pictures from his handy cell phone makes us feel so close to the situation. That is how much his service has meant to our family. Anyone looking for a reference or referral don't hesitate to call me.
I am writing this letter in support of Living Home. My name is Richard W. and I have been using the services of Living Home due to a dramatic decline in my health. I make frequent visits to the hospital for various health issues and am unable to walk myself from the car to the building. The staff at Living Home are available at any hour including 4am and 10pm. As my condition worsens I find myself depending more and more on Living Home for appointments and errands. Living Home has made it possible for me to live in home which is invaluable to me. John Ryan (the owner) is compassionate and accommodating and shows a genuine concern for his clients. I believe that Living Home is a much needed service in the community.
